”Comfort for the Soul”
Our mission statement is “Comfort for the Soul,” and we do that by offering you simple, nutritious and healthy products. You want to be a good pet guardian and our products give you comfort to know that you are giving your pet a healthy meal and treat. We feel the same way because we are pet guardians just like you. In fact, we don’t have just dogs and cats, we currently have llamas, ducks, chickens, emus, zonkeys (that’s right a cross between a donkey and a zebra), goats, koi and longhorns. When my father started our treat company, he put the following scripture from the Bible on our boxes, and we still display this Proverb today; “A good man is concerned for the welfare of his animals.” I don’t know many people who could argue with that, and we feel the same way. Knowing we are committed to this verse is “Comfort for the Soul”.
French Country Cafe
Whether it’s a corner café on the streets of Paris, a Cottage tucked along the French countryside or a trip up the Eifel Tower with your significant other, they all spell the romance of France. This savory delight inspired by the many culinary artists from across the pond will have your dog begging for more in a heavy French accent in no time. The Merrick’s say Merci Beaucoup.
Puppy Plate
It’s the first lick, the wobbly crawl, and the yawns full of puppy breath that make us all love our puppies. That’s why we created the Puppy Plate with plenty of high quality proteins to keep them healthy: Turkey, Duck and Chicken mixed with hearty whole grains, delicious vegetables and fruits. At Merrick we call it Puppyhood; don’t hurry too fast to grow up!
Grammy's Pot Pie
The smell of Grammy's house and her famous chicken pot pie is an unforgettable comfort. Our family loves dogs and we thought it was about time to share this great taste with yours. These tender chunks of chicken are sure to make your dog beg to go to Grammy's, even if they have to eat their vegetables. Grammy's Pot Pie is prepared with Chicken, Red Jacket New Potatoes, Carrots, Snow Peas, & Red Apples.
Cowboy Cookout
It's the 4th of July and your family and dogs have gathered around the table for a cookout celebration. Your prized beef and favorite side dishes are ready to be feasted upon. In Texas, we love beef as much as Americans love apple pie. Cowboy Cookout is prepared with Beef, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Green Beans, & Granny Smith Apples.
Brauts–n–Tots
This dish comes with everything but the sour kraut, lederhosen and a stout pint of German ale. We’ve set the table and left the rest to your imagination. However, we do recommend that if your dog is of German descent to ease them into a dish like this or they might leave in the middle of the night to catch the next boat back to the homeland. The Merrick's would like to say Danke.
New Zealand Summer
There is something so peaceful, so still about imagining a herd of sheep grazing on the grassy fields of New Zealand. A simple life of a shepherd is not so simple but it is oh so comforting for the sheep to know that they are under His watch. The hope is for a place some day that offers a peace that transcends all human understanding. The Merrick’s hope your dog Baa’s and Baa’s over this dish.
Harvest Moon
The full moon is out and the flavors of harvest paint the sky. Harvest is a time to reflect on what we've invested in, the seeds we've planted in our life and others. So here's to keeping more seeds of love and mercy in our garden shed. The Merrick's would like to thank farmers around the world and let's make trade fair.
Campfire Trout Feast
A family camping trip is a rite of passage for some and a funny set of memories for many more. This dish offers an alternative for the days your furry fellow is stuck inside salivating over the family goldfish in his urban suite. The Merrick’s would like to encourage you and your dog to grab a bag of marshmallows, a stack of carob bars and a box of graham crackers and go sing Kumbaya around the campfire.
Mediterranean Banquet
The Greek Isles are a lovely place to visit. As the sun sets tonight, you are dining seaside with that special someone. The banquet of lamb, fresh vegetables and fruits is fit for royalty. The Merrick family is happy to offer the taste of the Mediterranean to your furry friend wherever you may call home. The Merricks say "bon appetite". Venison Holiday Stew
On New Year's Day you celebrate with an old family recipe that is timeless and delicious. The parades are on TV and the venison stew is simmering on the stove, filling the house with a wonderful aroma. Our family made this dish available after our dog, Annie, devoured a bowl and now expects it every day. The Merricks are going to the dogs. Venison Holiday Stew is prepared with Venison, Red Jacket New Potatoes, Carrots, Zucchini, Sugar Peas, & Red Apples.
Smothered Comfort
Down south we like to make things comfortable. It doesn’t get any better than homestyle chicken thighs smothered in gravy with a buffet of Momma Merrick’s fixins. If you hear your dog yelping a loud Amen on the back porch, this is completely normal behavior. No matter the color of your state the Merrick Family says God Bless the Red, White and Blue!
Wingaling
Once upon a time there was a magical place called Wingaling and it had the best tasting chicken in the world. Nutty brown rice simmered in savory gravy that naturally marinates these delicious chicken wings on the bone to add flavor. The Merrick's would like to welcome your dog into this wonderland of flavor that is chicken paradise.
Thanksgiving Day Dinner
The house is filled with love and the wonderful smells of Thanksgiving infiltrate the air. Could it get any better as you fill your plate with juicy slices of turkey and all the trimmings? We don't think Thanksgiving should come only once a year, so we created this meal for your dog to enjoy all year round. Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours. Turducken
This bayou classic allows dogs to get in touch with their southern senses. The delicious combination of Turkey, Duck and Chicken all cooked together in their wonderful juices makes even vegetarians reconsider their pledge. It's time that all of our dog friends had a taste of this Cajun Treat. The Merrick family says – “geaux for it!”

It's winter in the Rockies at a quiet cabin with the one you love, a good book and a warm fire. The taste of the west is on the menu tonight. Buffalo and a host of tasty vittles are warming on the stove. The Merrick family is happy to share this original taste with your canine friend. The Merricks say Howdy and thanks. Working Dog Stew
Annie’s worked all week long back at the ranch. She’s been roundin’ up loose cattle and chasing off those crazy coyotes. The aroma of country fixins fills the air. The hearty taste of beef tripe, gravy, sweet potatoes, and carrots are calling her name and she’s earned it. To all the working dogs out there, the Merrick’s say – “This stew's for you!”
